Edinburgh's 'poop emoji' hotel is branded a 'white elephant' by locals as 'eyesore' remains closed

The 'ribbon hotel' - so named because of its distinctive design- is the centrepiece of Edinburgh's £850million St James Quarter development but has yet to open and is not well liked by all locals.
