We've seen some ludicrous red flags on job applications, but this one is too far. We understand that certain jobs (e.g. sales) are commission-based, but just because there might be an industry standard for certain roles does not mean it's right or realistic for most employees. Delaying payment for up to six entire months is out of the question. It's also unwise for the employer: right then and there, you are immediately limiting your pool of applicants. If employers can delay payment for up to six months, shouldn't the reverse be acceptable? Shouldn't employees delay getting anything done until they're being compensated for that work?
